The WWE website has a poll asking fans who deserves to be in the WWE Hall
Of Fame the most this year. The options are Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero, The Road
Warriors, and Bruno Sammartino. As of this writing, Guerrero leads the pack with
47%, followed by the Road Warriors with 23%, then Bret with 18%, and Bruno
coming in last with 12%.
For those who didn't read this weekend, the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony for this
year's WrestleMania 22 weekend sold out a few hours after tickets went on sale.
The first ever mixed-martial arts event to be promoted in San Jose, Calif. takes
place March 10th as Silicon Valley Sports and Entertainment (SVSE) presents
"Shamrock vs. Gracie." After several years of verbal sparring on the internet
and print publications, Frank Shamrock and Cesar Gracie have finally both signed
the dotted line to fight one another in mixed-martial arts competition. For
Gracie, it will be his MMA debut, but he brings a legendary last name and
reverred ground skills to the equation. Frank Shamrock at one point was easily
considered the best pound for pound fighter in the world, and left on top of his
game yet to be seen aside from a one-shot appearance a few years ago that
resulted in a lackluster victory over an unheralded opponent. The following is
the current line-up for the mega Shamrock vs. Gracie event on 3/10:
Frank Shamrock vs. Cesar Gracie
Daniel Puder vs. TBA
Josh Thomson vs. Clayton Guida
Cung Le vs. TBA
Gilbert Melendez vs. David Padilla
Eugene Jackson vs. Jorge Ortiz
